Asia’s biggest international brass music festival, Brass Explosion!, returns from 1 to 4 June 2012 with a big bang for its third year. This annual music festival will showcase a myriad of exceptional musical talents, including jazz legend James Morrison, Stefan Dohr and Sarah Willis of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Sérgio Carolino, James Gourlay, Darren Acosta, Steven Mead, Gareth Small, Bart van Lier and more.
Presented by the Brass Society at Marina Bay Sands Singapore and supported by the National Arts Council, more than 49 world acclaimed artists from 15 countries and 150 Singaporean and international students will be performing over four days of incredible music making. They will also be joined and accompanied by the world-famous Desford Colliery Band from United Kingdom, an All Star Big Band as well as local music groups and ensembles.

A free evening public concert featuring brass music in its different forms. Be entertained with music from classical, jazz to pop, performed by local and international brass musicians. It’s the perfect family day out activity!
Performers include: The Desford Colliery Band from UK, renowned Indonesian songstress Dira Sugandi, who has had the opportunity to sing with Jason Mraz and Andrea Bocelli, as well as the Brass Society Brass Band, which consists of professional brass musicians, educators, enthusiasts and tertiary students. Music lovers will also be in for a treat as jazz legend James Morrison will be making a special appearance!
