Cortez Celebrate 40 Years of Running

Nike Cortez recently celebrate its 40th anniversary on June, 28th 2012. It is a celebration of the rich history that has an indelible mark on the running scene.

The anniversary was celebrated across Southeast Asia in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore – with each country inviting eight of their best talents to customize a Nike Cortez. All 40 pairs of the Cortez will then be stored as part of Nike’s archive.

Representing Singapore are professional mixed martial arts fighter Nicole Chua, sneaker collector Sebastian Tay, rap artist Sheikh Haikel, Zouk Head of Entertainment Wayne Lee, marathoner Anne Qihui, designer Ling Wu, Lo&Behold Group creative director Mriz Sidah and visual artist Luthfi Mustafah a.k.a The Killer Gerbil.

The 8 pairs of Nike Cortez customized by the above personalities are on display at Limited Edt Chamber, B2-23, Canal Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sans from now till July, 15th 2012.
