Sony Launches PS3 Slim & PSP Go

On Thursday 17th September 2009 in Singapore, Sony officially launches its latest line of consumer entertainment and gaming products the PlayStation 3 Slim as well as the Playstation Portable Go, known respectively as PS3 Slim & PSP Go.
It’s slated to be officially released in the stores in Singapore on the 1st October 2009. Now, I’ve emphasized officially because I have definitely seen copies of both products present in our market. This fact was further highlighted by Mr Yasuda Tetsuhiko, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Asia, that prior to the official launch, any copies of PS3 Slim & PSP Go will not be supported for the after-sales service.
Legal definitions aside, both products are a gem to look & behold.
The PS3 Slim still packs around 3.2KG with standard accessories like Wireless controller, Power Cord, AV & USB cable (all x1 each). The vertical stand is sold separately.
The PSP Go is the next iteration of handheld consoles from Sony. It comes with 16GB flash memory with slots for Memory Stick Micro, WIFI, Microphone, Multi-use & USB connector as well as bluetooth which is A2DP, HSP & AVRCP compatible. Video-out cables & cradle sold separately. Video-out cable & cradle for PSP-2006/3006 cannot be used on PSPGo.
The suggested retail price for the PS3 is $512 while the PSPGo costs $412.

Im sure they are selling at that price – being parallel imported sets – Sony’s products are price-controlled. A friend got them before the announcement and was sad when I post – specifically that PS3 Slims purchased before the announcement, will not be supported by Sony.
But, i also personally think that, for a console game, you can play with it, and then the interest will die and you will move on to another game.
Right?
I know there are hardcore gamers la, but i prefer to think that hardcore gamers, play on PCs than consoles.

I REALLY HOPE THAT THE PSP GO WILL COME IN OHER COLOURS OTHER THAN BLACK AND WHITE A LIME GREEN FOR EG.
