On my MSN, I put up the message “Losing the drive to blog – for passion or money”. I believe I have written about this before. Since starting the other blog on http://mhisham.org , which was created solely for the purpose of gaining passive income, it has created the dilemma of non-motivation to blog. Where I used to blog as I thought fit, now I have to think of the appropriate subject, topic, the correct placement of words, various SEOs and whatnots. It simply became harder to blog.

It became more like work.

Livejournal has provided the impetus for the most substantial of my thoughts and feelings. Yet, paid account or basic, Livejournal takes 100% of all the advertisements. This was what led to the creation of the independent site. With my own site, I grew adventurous and started to delve in a lot of new ideas. Social media and social networking became an important tool. Entrepreneurial ideas are getting a second look. I’m not afraid to attend “tea talk” which are normally the facades for multi-level marketing businesses. I think I’ve said before, that with proper implementation, MLM is a good business tool, yet the negative perceptions within the people in Singapore still persist.

I became involved more in networking activities that brought me to various places, product launches at Brotzeit, on-board the Sardinia and various other locations. The need to present myself as a serious blogger becomes even more telling when I had to brush up all forms of knowledge so as to appear knowledgeable.

It helps that I have my own set of social skills – that I can sometimes bullshit my way through – but just like the common management story, bullshit can bring you so much, you cannot be the rabbit that wants to be on top of the tree, just so that you will be swooped up by the eagles.

Alright, this is more of a ranting post which I really have not done for the longest time. I really should try to end this post on a high note, it being Friday afterall. haha
